Fresh from the Compost Heap

I've let them lie for a while but couldn't resist seeing what a bit of composting had done to two of my current practice tunes.

Napoleon etc..

Tralee etc...

I think I'm going to start on a new tune, soon.

Tralee Gaol

This my my version of Tralee Gaol. I've had to pare it down a little as the triplets in the b part of the tune elude me at this moment in time, but I think I'm getting there.

Tralee Gaol

Here's Ken Perlman's version of Tralee Gaol.

Tralee Gaol

This is a photo of the 'croppy boy' memorial from the town of Tralee in southern Ireland. Tralee was witness to a lot of violence in the struggle for Irish independence, and hence title of the tune.
