Groanbox Boys on Tour

Going to see the Groanbox Boys tonight at Hutton Rudby Village Hall.

Camptown Races and Lagerphone

It was the annual cider party this weekend and the Uke of Cornwall and I didn't know what to do with our hangovers and all the beer bottle tops that were left so, inspired by the Groanbox Boys' Freedom Boot, we decided to make out own lagerphone. We pinned the bottletops in pairs to a broomshank and hey presto instant ju-ju stick!

Gourd Banjo

The banjo is gnarly enough, but the gourd banjo is something else.

If you get chance to see 'em, take it. I saw them in in 2008 when they were in North Yorkshire and they play a great mix of folk, blues and old-time music - fantastic.
