www.northernbanjoboy.com

Sick of telling people the unfeasably long blogspot address for Northern Banjo Boy, I decided to get on the cash-nazi dot com trail and buy northern banjo boy .com. It seemed like a bargain for $10 a year, so if your fingers are bleeding from typing those extra eight characters, then relax cos from now on http://www.northernbanjoboy.com/ is all you need to type.

I don't know why I'm so excited about this?....

PS if you don't care http://www.northernbanjoboy.blogspot.com/ still works anyway!

Two practice tunes

Been posting a few versions of Sandy River Belle recently, and without wantin to bore you here's another.
I think i've worked out the A and B parts now much more clearly, and I've also started incorporating abit of the tab from David's Clawhammer site.

I've also been working on the guitar and this is a little exercise form my tutor book using Dsus2 and Dsus4, I've just bolted on a bit of A and G!

David's Clawhammer Banjo Site

David's Clawhammer Banjo Site is a treasure for anyone looking for excellent tabs - it's got just about everything and usually in several variations.

Check out the tabs for Sandy River Belle which I'll be using as soon as I can stretch my technique. There are about 6 versions on the site!

This is probably the hardest thing I've tried to learn.
It's an old fiddle tune from the Tim Jumper 'Banjo Songbook'
I'm it's much more of a clawhammer style with few strums in the melody.
It's killing me! but I will get it right.
