Uke in Hand
Back from my holidays and it's been a bit of a shock! Why is it if you get away for two weeks is always three weeks worth of work waiting when you get back? Anyway thought this would cheer me up and I also took my uke away with me.

ReplyDelete-I was most pleased when my American cousin (so to speak) Mr Pemberton Billings Guttenburg sent you our latest Archie Bester treasure "Twit"-discovered in a dusty attic in Scunthorpe.
Bester always spent his life in the shadow of Formby and apparently loathed him -right up to Bester's untimely demise falling through the ceiling of the Tiller Girls dressing room at ATV House!
As a sort of reply to Formby's smutty little ditty may I recommend Bester's song "Nuisance on the Corner with a Uke" from the Live At The Shepherd's Bush Empire 1961 L.P.-I could sent you the vinyl rip if you fancy.
